Parliamentary elections in Switzerland took place on October 31, 1943 for the election of the 32nd National Council [1] . The number of seats in parliament was increased from 187 to 194. As a result, the Social Democratic Party became the largest parliamentary party of the National Council, gaining 56 out of 194 seats [2] .
