Born into a noble family.

Public Service

Military Service

He began military service on August 6, 1868 [2] . July 21, 1870 from the standard-cadets of the Nikolaev Cavalry School was promoted to Cornet Horse Guards. March 31, 1874 promoted to lieutenant .
