Biography
In 1935 he graduated from the Faculty of Biology of Leningrad State University (LSU).
In 1935-1941 he worked in the Polar-Alpine Botanical Garden (PABS).
In 1940 he defended his thesis on the topic “ Sinusial structure of plant associations” (supervisor V. N. Sukachev ).
During the Second World War, he worked at the All-Union Institute of Plant Production (VIR).
Since 1944 he worked at Leningrad State University . In 1967, on the basis of the report, a doctor’s degree in biological sciences was awarded.
He took part as an author and editor of publications: the four-volume Flora of the Leningrad Region (1955-1965), Abstract of the Flora of the Pskov Region (1970), Key to Higher Plants of the North-West of the European Part of the RSFSR (1981), Biological Flora of the Murmansk Region "(1984).
In honor of N. A. Minyaev, the genus of plants Minjaevia Tzvelev (2001) was named [1] .
