Biology
One generation is developing in a year. Flight time is observed from the second decade of July to August. Butterflies feed on flowers ( chrysanthemum , clover and highlander). After mating, the females lay eggs individually or in groups on different parts of the feed plants. Egg height 0.25-0.30 mm, disc-shaped. The color of the egg is white with a greenish tint, green micropile. The stage of the egg lasts 10-14 days. Part of the eggs hibernates. Fodder plants of caterpillars are various types of geranium ( Geranium ) [1] . Caterpillar of the first age is light green with small dark spots, a black head and long white bristles. For younger caterpillars, cannibalism is noted. Caterpillars of older ages are green with a strip of dark green along the back, delimited by white lines. Covered with short white hairs. Older caterpillars feed on the buds and leaves of a feed plant. By the end of their development, they reach a length of 11-13 mm. Before pupation, they cease to feed and attach from below to the leaf blade, where they pupate after two days. Pupa 7-8 mm long. Pupae of males are elongated, and in females - stocky, emerald green, with a dark green dorsal stripe. The pupal stage lasts 8-10 days.
