The budgetary educational institution of the Chuvash Republic “Chuvash Cadet Corps of the Volga Federal District named after Hero of the Soviet Union A. V. History
1989—2018
The Chuvash Cadet Corps dates back to January 13, 1989, when the Cheboksary City Naval Club for Young Sailors and Rivermen “School Jung” was founded, which was based in Building No. 30 on Konstantin Ivanov Street .
In 1994, the club was renamed the Municipal educational institution “Specialized educational complex“ School of the Young ”” (MOU SUVK “School of the Young”). In 2000, the school was renamed the Cadet School Municipal Educational Institution of the city of Cheboksary; since 2010 - Municipal educational institution “Cadet School named after the Hero of the Soviet Union, Colonel A. V. Kochetov, Cheboksary”; since 2016 - Budgetary educational institution of the Chuvash Republic “Republican Cadet School named after Hero of the Soviet Union A. V. Kochetov”. By the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Chuvash Republic dated May 24, 2017 No. 187, the school was renamed into the Budgetary Educational Institution of the Chuvash Republic "Chuvash Cadet Corps of the Volga Federal District named after Hero of the Soviet Union A. V. Kochetov."
On June 28, 2017, Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoigu , plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich , Head of the Chuvash Republic Mikhail Ignatiev and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Renova Group Viktor Vekselberg in Moscow signed an agreement on cooperation to create a new complex of Chuvash buildings Cadet Corps on the Egersky Boulevard of the city of Cheboksary.
Since 2018
From 2017 to 2018, a new complex of buildings of the educational institution was built and built, including sleeping (for 250 people) and educational buildings, sports and assembly halls, additional education rooms. The surrounding area was also landscaped and a park was created with a complex of buildings.
Students are accepted for training starting from grade 5 (2018). In 2018, 400 cadets began training in the cadet corps. In September 2018, students went to the military training camp for 2 weeks. During this time, it was planned to complete the infrastructure for the educational process. Elementary classes went to Crimea, senior classes were held on the basis of the Perm Cadet Corps .
Chefs of the Chuvash Cadet Corps secured a branch in the city of Syzran of the Military Training and Scientific Center of the Air Force "Air Force Academy named after Professor N. Ye. Zhukovsky and Yu. A. Gagarin" and two military units.
