Vasin, Evgeny Mikhailovich

Born on November 7, 1936 in the village of Rybnoye, now Dmitrovsky District, Moscow Region, in a working class family.

He graduated from the Odessa Polytechnic Institute with a degree in mechanical engineering.

Since 1960, he worked as a design engineer, deputy chief, workshop head at the Gorlovsky Engineering Plant. Since 1969 he was a foreman, then a design engineer, chief mechanic, deputy chief engineer, chief engineer of the Poltava diesel locomotive repair plant . Since 1985, he served as head of the Poltava branch of the Poltava design and engineering bureau for the repair of locomotives, since 1988 he was the director of the Poltava diesel locomotive repair plant.

In 1990, during the first alternative parliamentary elections in the Ukrainian SSR, he was nominated as a candidate for people's deputies by the labor collective of the Poltava Diesel Locomotive Repair Plant, on March 18, 1990, in the second round he was elected as a deputy of the Supreme Council of the Ukrainian SSR of the XII convocation (hereinafter - the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the I convocation ) from the Lenin city constituency No. 316 of Poltava , gained 49.36% of the vote among 8 candidates. He was a member of the parliamentary group “For Soviet Sovereign Ukraine” in parliament, and was a member of the commission on the development of basic sectors of the national economy. The deputy powers expired on May 10, 1994.

Since 1994, he was the chief economist at JSC Diesel Locomotive Repair Plant.

Married, has two children.
