Geography
The distance to Cheboksary is 180 km, to the district center 20 km, to the railway station. station 65 km [2] .
History
Until 1927, it was part of the Poretsky volost of the Alatyr district , from 1927 to 1962 it was part of the Poretsky district, and from 1962 to 1965 it was part of the Alatyr district [2] .
In 1964, by a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR, the village of Volchiy Ovrag was renamed Zelyony Dol [3] .
