Born in s. Androvka (now Berdyansk district of Zaporozhye region). He graduated from the Melitopol Institute of Agricultural Mechanization (1934).

  • 1934-1936 head. workshops Kamyshenskogo State Farm Stalingrad region,
  • 1936-1939 head. workshops Morozovsky State Farm Rostov region.
  • 1939-1951 chief engineer of state farms "Oblivsky" (1939-1942) and "Giant" (1942) of the Rostov region, "Eldori" of the Georgian SSR (1942-1943); Rostov Grain Trust Ministry of State Farms of the USSR (1943-1951).
  • since 1951, director (1951–1989); since 1989, adviser to the directorate of the All-Union Scientific Research Institute of Mechanization and Electrification of Agriculture

Doctor of Economics (1973), Academician of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences (1975).

Under his leadership and with the direct participation developed and introduced into production more than 200 agricultural machines and implements.

Winner of the State Prize of the USSR (1978). He was awarded the Order of the October Revolution (1973), 3 orders of the Red Banner of Labor (1967, 1970, 1986), the Order of Lenin (1983), 2 medals of the USSR, 7 medals VSHV and VDNH.

He has published over 200 scientific papers, including 19 books and brochures. Books:
