Political Activities

Mirza Salimbek began his career as a scribe at Ziyovuddinsky bey.

He was the governor of many amlakadstvs and beks of the Bukhara emirate. He was assigned the military rank of tuxabo [4] .

Fulfilled the diplomatic missions of the emir in Tashkent (1873-1885) and St. Petersburg (1885).

During the Kolesov campaign, he commanded the Bukhara army .

He was the main person in the negotiations with the revolutionary authorities of Turkestan in 1918-1919, and also participated in negotiations with the British.

After the Bukhara operation of the troops of the RSFSR, he was arrested and sent into exile in Siberia, a year later he was released.

Under the Bukhara People’s Soviet Republic, he worked as an administrator, took part in historical research, and was in charge of the library of ancient books.

Creativity

Mirza Salimbek wrote historical works and poems.

The manuscript of Mirza Salimbek “Tarih-i Salimi”, covers mainly the events of the history of the Bukhara emirate during the reign of the last representatives of the Mangyt dynasty.

Death

Mirza Salimbek died in 1930.
