Superfinal of the Russian Chess Championship 2004

The super final of the 57th Russian Chess Championship was held from November 14 to November 27, 2004 in Moscow . The tournament was originally supposed to be held with 14 participants. Due to illness, Kramnik dropped out. The RCF Executive Committee decided to reduce the number of participants to 12. How extra Khalifman left. The day before the start, Karpov refused to take part.
