More specifically, AIs are used for medical diagnostics , e-commerce , remote control robots and remote sensing of the Earth . AI is used to design and develop numerous industries, including finance, healthcare, education, transportation, and others.
AI for the common good
Some US academic institutions use AI to solve some of the largest economic and social problems in the world. For example, the University of Southern California launched the Center for Artificial Intelligence in society to use AI to solve socially significant problems such as homelessness. At Stanford, researchers use AI to analyze satellite images to determine which areas have the highest poverty rates.
Warfare
AI is the technological basis of promising battlefield and weapon control systems [1] . With the help of AI, it is possible to provide an optimal and adaptive to threats choice of a combination of sensors and weapons, coordinate their joint functioning, detect and identify threats, evaluate the intentions of the enemy [1] .
