Son of Renault III de Pons (d. 1272) and Margarita de Bergerac (d. Not earlier than 1291).
After the death of his father, he inherited the lord Riberac. In 1291 he received from her mother (even during her lifetime) a part of the Viscountry of Türenn belonging to her.
Wife (prenuptial contract of March 24, 1291) - Isabella (d. Not earlier than 1335), daughter of the Rhodesian Count Henry II , from 1304 the Viscountess Carl according to his father’s will.
Son - Renaud IV de Pons (b. 1300/1304, died at the Battle of Poitiers on September 19, 1356) - Senor Riberac and Pons, Viscount Carl and part of Turenne.
