Biography
He graduated from the theological and law faculties of the University of Athens. He served as an infantry officer.
He worked as a teacher in secondary schools in the city and region of Karditsa and in Germany (Nuremberg, Augsburg and Munich).
He took monastic tonsure at the Meteor monastery of St. Varlaam. He was ordained a hierodeacon and hieromonk by Metropolitan Seraphim of Stagon and Meteor and served as a preacher and confessor.
For eight years he served as secretary of various committees of the Holy Synod of the Greek Orthodox Church. He participated in many theological conferences. During his stay in Germany, he delivered weekly sermons at radio stations in Munich.
On May 1, 2009, he was appointed protosinkella (chancellor) of the Thessalyotide and Fanariofersalsky Metropolis. On October 14, 2009, at the suggestion of the Metropolitan of Thessalyotis, Cyril was elected vicar bishop of the Thessaliotide Metropolis with the title of Bishop of Rendinsky.
On October 24, 2009, he was consecrated bishop of Rendinsky in the Cathedral of St. Constantine and Helen in Karditsa.
