Jan Ullrich ( German: Jan Ullrich ; born December 2, 1973 in Rostock , East Germany ) is a former professional German cyclist, winner of the Tour de France and Vuelta , Olympic champion and world champion.

Biography
His professional career began in 1995 , after only two years he wins the Tour de France in the qualification of the best young rider and overall standings.
The German was the main rival of Lance Armstrong - Ulrich won the Tour de France only in 1997, was second in 2000, 2001 and 2003 - then Armstrong won, later deprived of all titles. But the Germans did not win the victory, the trophies of the "black period" for the Tour of 1999-2005 are still without owners.
In 2002, Ulrich was serving a suspension for taking amphetamines .
On the “Tour” -2003 at one of the decisive stages, Armstrong fell, and Ulrich, who fought for leadership in the race, waited for him to continue the battle in a fair fight.
End of career
The German completed his professional career in February 2007. In 2010, the German was diagnosed with "burnout".
Part of Jan’s sports results was canceled: the rider was convicted of using blood doping - the Sports Arbitration Court (CAS) in February 2012 disqualified Ulrich for using the services of Dr. Fuentes’s clinic and canceled all his results starting May 1, 2005, including third place on the “Tour” de France ”-2005 [2] .
After an accident while intoxicated, Jan Ulrich no longer takes part in sports - Ulrich received 18 months in prison for probable accident [3] .
In August 2018, Ulrich was accused of intruding actor Til Schweiger in the house, as well as beating a call girl; in late summer, a German turned to a psychiatric clinic for help [4] .
