Howard Green ( Howard Green ; September 10, 1925, Toronto, Canada - October 31, 2015, Westwood, Massachusetts) is an American medical scientist who is a pioneer in the field of skin regeneration. Emeritus is a professor at Harvard University, a member of the National Academy of Sciences of the USA (1978) [1] and a foreign member of the French Academy of Sciences (1995).

Biography
He studied at the University of Toronto, where he entered the school of medicine, and in 1947 received a doctorate in medicine. He completed an internship at a hospital in Chicago. He served in the US Army as a captain. In 1956 he entered the medical school of New York University, where he remained until 1970 and attained the positions of professor and head of the department of cell biology. From 1970 to 1980 he was a professor of cell biology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He gave 35 years to Harvard Medical School as a nominal professor ( George Higginson Professor ), emeritus since 2013, from 1980 to 1993 headed its department of cellular and molecular physiology, then professor of the department of cellular biology. From 1999 to 2007, President of the Scientific Council of the Curie Institute in Paris. Founder of BioSurface Technology, acquired in 1994 by Genzyme. After his death, left a wife.
Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (1972).
