Geography
It is located at the source of the Pakasha River, 10 km from Dalniy Konstantinov and 68 km from Nizhny Novgorod [2] .
History
According to the data for 1859, in the “List of Populated Places” of the Nizhny Novgorod Province , it is listed as the owner's village at the Krache River, 69 miles from Nizhny Novgorod. There were 122 yards in the village and 697 people lived (290 men and 407 women) [3] . The national composition of the population was dominated by teryuhans [4] . As of 1884, two tar factories were functioning in the village [5] .
