At the beginning of 1971, having enjoyed the success of the previous album Scorpio's Dance and the single "Never marry a railroad man", which occupied high positions in the European charts, Shocking Blue set about recording a new album in Blaricum, not far from Amsterdam . For several months, guitarist Leo Van Der Kettery joined the band, mainly engaged in the compilation and production of records. After releasing the singles "Blossom lady" and "Out of sight out of mind", the group went on a world tour, and on July 28-30, 1971 in Japan, the live album of the group "Live in Japan" was recorded.
The author of all the songs is Robbie van Leeuwen, except for βI Saw Your Faceβ, written by Reggis Mulle.
