DescriptionThe total length reaches 4.5 m. Head with a wide base and a muzzle blunt at the end. The body is slim, muscular. The color is brown with a pattern of staggered dark brown rhombic spots. Scales of the body with a characteristic iridescent tint for smooth-boiled constrictors.
LifestylePrefers wet and dry woodlands , overgrown with stony biotopes . Leads a tree lifestyle. Active during the day, only in the summer months - at night. It feeds on warm-blooded prey: bats , birds and rodents . In search of prey, he often climbs into caves.
ReproductionThis is an ovoviviparous snake. Puberty occurs at 3 years. Pregnancy lasts 3 months, the female gives birth to 15-20 cubs.
DistributionIt lives on the island of Cuba and a number of small islands around its coast .
