dcraw ( / diː siː ɹɔː / , from English Dave Coffin's raw photo decoder ) is a free computer program for converting files from Raw format to PPM and TIFF formats written in ANSI C by Dave Coffin . With the advent of new implementations of the Raw format, dcraw is constantly being updated to provide support for new digital cameras . dcraw is very popular and underlies a large number of programs for working with RAW - both free and commercial.
