In the fall of 1841, Serbluzhitsky public figures and writers Gandri Zeiler , Jan Smoler and Jan Jordan made a joint decision to publish the newspaper in the Upper Luzhitsky language. The publication of the newspaper was entrusted to the bookseller Schlussel in Bautzen.
The first issue with a circulation of a thousand copies [1] came out on January 8, 1842 under the name “Jutřničžka. Nowiny za Serbow. "Budyšinje wjedźene wot JP Jordana, wudawane wot Wellerec kniharnje, ćišćane pola CG Hiecki . " From the third issue, the newspaper became known as “ Jut'ničžka ”.
The newspaper was edited and published by Jan Jordan, who used special spelling on its pages, which was later improved by Korla Jöncz and Michal Gornik .
The newspaper was published in four pages, on which original essays and translations of various small literary works were published mainly from Czech and Slovak languages. Various notes on households and rural production were also published.
Gandri Zeiler (under the pseudonym Boršćan), Korla Mosak-Klosopolsky , Kzeschan Pful (under the pseudonym Łužan), Michal Buk , Jan Melda and Jan Arnost Smoler (under the pseudonym Serbosław) published their works on the newspaper.
Since June 1842, the newspaper ceased to be published after the Bautzen City Council allocated funds to Jan Jordan for the official news publication. On July 2, 1842, Jan Jordan began to publish the newspaper Tydźeń , which became the successor to the newspaper Jutnička.
In the fall of 1842, Jan Jordan published two issues of the literary magazine Serbska Jutnička in Leipzig.
