Biography
Cooper is a Russian athlete of Ukrainian origin.
It specializes in both individual and synchronized diving from a 10-meter tower. Until 2015, he represented Ukraine at international diving competitions.
Since October 2015, a member of the Russian national diving team. In synchronized jumps, he is paired with Viktor Minibaev .
Alexander Bondar has won a total of four gold medals in the continental championships, and is also the winner of world championships.
At his first world championships in Rome in 2009, he was the twelfth in the tower competitions. Two years later, in Shanghai, he won the bronze medal of the world championship in synchronized jumping.
At his first 2012 Olympics in London, he became the twelfth in personal competitions, and eighth in synchronized jumps.
In 2013, he won two disciplines at the European Diving Championships.
At the World Championships in Budapest in 2017, already representing the Russian national team, he managed to become second in synchronized diving from a 10-meter tower and win the silver medal of the world championship.
A year later, at the European Championship in Glasgow, won two victories, becoming the four-time European champion [3] [4] .
At the World Championships in Korean Gwangju , together with Viktor Minibaev, he won a silver medal in synchronized jumping from a 10-meter tower. In individual jumps, he took third place and won a bronze medal.
He plays for CSKA , has the military rank of “ ensign ”.
Alexander Bondar won the bronze medal at the Gwangju World Championships in diving from the tower. Cooper scored 541.05 points in the final. The victory was won by the Chinese Yang Jian (598.65). [5]
