Description

Beetles of microscopic size. Body length less than 1 mm (0.94-0.99 mm). They differ from similar taxa in the morphology of the mesosternal protrusion between the middle coxae and the following characters: protorax 1.7 times wider than its length, the formula of the membrane setae of the hind wing 27 + 100 + 43, antennae 11-segmented (the third segment is shorter than segments IV and V taken together), the pleural region of protorox without dermal glands, the area between the middle coxae is occupied by the mesosternal protrusion. The body is elongated, oval-cylindrical; Brown. It belongs to the tribe Nanosellini , which includes the smallest beetles of the world fauna ( Nanosella fungi and Scydosella musawasensis ) [1] [2] [3] .
