Biography
Pupil of the Barnaul football schools "Temp" and "Dynamo", coaches - Victor Kacharinsky, Vladimir Safonov. In 1974, he played the first matches in the Barnaul Dynamo in the second league , but his injury temporarily prevented his career development.
In 1975, he was drafted into the army and played for the Novosibirsk SKA in KFK competitions. With his team he became the winner of the Cup of the Armed Forces of the USSR and was recognized as the best player in the tournament. After that, he moved to the Rostov SKA , in his composition spent a season and a half in the first league , and since 1979 he played in the major league . The debut match at the highest level was played on March 24, 1979 against Kiev Dynamo [1] . In total in the major league in 1979-1980 he played 26 matches.
In 1979, he took part in the Spartakiad of the Peoples of the USSR as part of the RSFSR national team; at the tournament he played one match against the team of the Kazakh SSR.
Since 1980, for 10 seasons he played for Rostselmash , played 273 matches in the championships of the USSR in the first and second leagues, and in all tournaments - 290 matches. He became the winner of the zonal tournament of the second league in 1985.
At the end of his career, he played in the lower divisions of the USSR and Russia for the agro-industrial complex (Azov), Start (Yeysk), Rostov SKA and Source , as well as amateur teams. He spent one season in the lower divisions of Poland for Vistil (Kalisz).
For many years he worked in Rostov as a children's coach. At the beginning of the XXI century, he headed the team of the Rostov region born in 1989, a bronze medalist at the Russian championship at this age. Among his pupils are European Youth Champion Alexander Marenich , Georgian football player Gia Grigalava , who played in the Premier League clubs Vladimir Khozin .
In 2005-2007 he was a member of the coaching staff of Rostov . Later, he again worked with children's teams.
