History
Established by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Mari ASSR of January 27, 1940 .
Grounds for rewarding
It has been established for highly professional doctors for their services in the protection of public health, organization and provision of therapeutic and preventive care, working in the specialty for 15 years or more.
Awarded by the Head of the Republic of Mari El (formerly the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Mari ASSR ) with the presentation of a certificate and a badge. As of July 1, 2008, 515 people were awarded the title.
