Gameplay
The goal of the game is to save Robin by collecting seven pieces of a hovercraft that are scattered around the Batcave . Gameplay takes place in a three-dimensional isometric universe, which programmer John Ritman and artist Bernie Drummond will develop at Head Over Heels in 1987, and is notable for implementing an early example of a game saving system that allows players to restart from an intermediate point in a game after losing all lives, not go back to the beginning (in this case, this is the point at which Batman collects "Batestone").
