Vyacheslav Pimenovich Mishurov ( September 20, 1935 , the village of Vyazovy Enemy of the Ekaterinovsky District of the Saratov Region - May 25, 2010 , Syktyvakar [1] ) - Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, Leading Researcher at the Institute of Biology of the Komi Science Center of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences . Biography

Born in the village of Vyazovy Enemy (now Vyazovka) of the Ekaterinovsky district of the Saratov region .

In 1959 he graduated from the Saratov Agricultural Institute , after which he worked as the chief agronomist of the Udorsky district agricultural inspectorate, deputy director and chief agronomist of the Koslansky and Kortkerossky state farms. Since 1967, he worked at the Institute of Biology of the Komi Scientific Center of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, first as a junior and then a senior researcher.

Since 1990, he headed the department of the Botanical Garden of the Institute of Biology. Research interests: introduction and adaptation of useful plants to the conditions of the North, their use in the national economy, species and intraspecific variability of plants. He is the author and co-author of 120 published scientific papers, including monographs, on the introduction and enrichment of the composition of fodder plants in the North.

The author of the varieties: the mountaineer Weirich “Syktyvkarets” (1977), the hogweed of Sosnovsky “Northerner” (1984), the Jerusalem artichoke “Vylgortsky” (1996), the goat-broom of the eastern “Yelyaty” (1999).
