Biography
Born in the village of Alyuty, Chaus district, Mogilev province.
He graduated from the Goretsky land-agronomical college (1918) and the Moscow Institute of land surveying (1921). Worked there: Assistant, Art. Assistant Professor (1921–1924), Associate Professor (1924–1926), Dean of the Faculty of Land Management (1926–1928), and simultaneously Head of the Working Department of the Moscow State University.
- 1928-1936 Director of the Siberian Institute of Agriculture and Forestry (now Omsk State Agrarian University).
- 1936–1937 Head of the Main Directorate of the Higher Educational Institutions of the USSR People's Commissariat of Agriculture, at the same time from July 7, 1936 to August 9, 1937, director of the Moscow Agricultural Academy. KA Timiryazev (ICCA).
- 1937-1941 professor, head. Department of ICCA, at the same time head. Department of the Moscow Institute of Land Management.
- 1941-1942 service in the Red Army, participated in the Great Patriotic War.
- 1942-1943 director of the Samarkand branch of the Moscow Agricultural Academy.
- 1943-1970 Head of the Department of the Moscow Agricultural Academy.
One of the developers of the method of land acquisition and development with the mass organization of state farms in the regions of Northern Kazakhstan, the wage system on collective farms in accordance with the results of labor.
Doctor of Economics (1956), Professor (1930), Academician of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences (1958). Corresponding Member of the Academy S.-H. Sciences GDR (1955).
Died June 27, 1970. He was buried at the Vagankovskoye cemetery .
Awards, awards, honors
Honored Scientist of the RSFSR (1958). Awarded two orders of Lenin (1953, 1965), two orders of the Red Star (1942, 1945), 5 medals of the USSR, 4 medals VSHV and VDNH.
