Biography
Margot Hilscher was born on September 29, 1919 in the city of Berlin ; From 1935 to 1939 she studied in the profession of clothing designer and fashion designer and then began working at a film studio as a costume designer, but very soon she was invited to try her hand as an actress in the film " " (1940).
As an actress, Margot Hilscher is known for her roles in more than fifty films released between 1939 and 1994. During the Second World War, she starred in the following films: “ ” (1941), “ ” (1943), “ ” (1943). In 1989, she played a role in the series " ".
During WWII, Hielscher made several tours to support the soldiers and officers of the Wehrmacht . In 1957, Hielscher was selected to represent Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 1957 with the song “ ”; in Frankfurt, she ranked fourth out of ten, gaining eight points. The following year, Margot Hilscher again represented Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest-1958 this time with the song “ ” and this time scored 5 points in Hilversum and ranked seventh out of ten.
Margot Hilscher died on August 20, 2017 in the city of Munich and was buried next to her husband, composer in the Bogenhausen cemetery .
