Pavel Ivanovich Vitsyak ( Ukrainian: Pavlo Ivanovich Vitsyak ; born December 25, 1934 , the village of Terebin , now the Khrubeshuv county of the Lublin Voivodeship of Poland ) - Ukrainian doctor and statesman, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the first convocation (1990-1994).

Biography

He was born on December 25, 1934 in the village of Terebinj (now Khrubieszów County of the Lublin Voivodeship of Poland ) into a peasant family.

In 1960 he graduated from the Lviv State Medical Institute. After graduation, he worked in the healthcare sector, since 1960 he worked as the head of the x-ray room of the Vladimir-Volyn Central District Hospital of the Volyn Region, since 1965 he was the head doctor of the Vladimir-Volyn District Tuberculosis Dispensary, and since 1970 he was the deputy head of the health department of the Volyn Oblast Executive Committee.

Since 1975, he served as chief physician of the Volyn Regional Hospital; since 1983, he was the head of the health department of the executive committee of the Volyn Regional Council.

In 1990, during the first alternative parliamentary elections in the Ukrainian SSR, he was nominated as a candidate for People’s Deputies, on March 4, 1990 in the first round he was elected People’s Deputy of the Supreme Council of the Ukrainian SSR of the XII convocation (hereinafter - the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the I convocation ) from Kamen-Kashirsky constituency No. 45 of the Volyn region, gained 52.49% of the vote among 2 candidates. In parliament, he chaired a commission on human health, was a member of the People’s Rada deputy group, and was a member of the Congress of National Democratic Forces. The deputy powers expired on May 10, 1994.

Since 1994 he was the head of the department of sanatorium care for the population of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine .

In the 1994 parliamentary elections, he was a candidate for people's deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the second convocation , was not elected.

He was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor , has the title “ Honored Doctor of Ukraine ”.
