The village is located 40 kilometers (as the crow flies) northwest of the town of Rzhev [2] .
According to the 2010 census, the population was 78, 31 men, 47 women.
In the village there is the board of the agricultural society “Iligora”, repair shops, two livestock farms, sawmills, a junior high school, a kindergarten, a house of culture, a library, an obstetric center, a liaison office, a shop [2] .

History
In the middle of the XIX century, the village was part of the Kholninskaya volost of the Rzhevsky district. In 1859 in Dmitrov there were 10 yards and 84 inhabitants, in 1883 there were already 22 yards and 102 inhabitants, engaged in carpenters and shepherds. [2]
According to the census of 1920, there were 24 courtyards and 113 inhabitants in the village [2] .
In 1921, Dmitrovo became the center of the Iligorsk Volost, and in 1925, the Dmitrovsky Village Council of the Griminsk Volost of the Rzhevsky District [2] .
From December 1966, the village became the center of the Ilinsky Village Council, and since November 1979, the Dmitrovsky Village Council of the Rzhevsky District. In modern Russia, Dmitrovo was the center of the Dmitrovsky rural district, in 1997 there were 63 farms with 165 inhabitants. [2]
