Story
After all the hopes of a creative and carefree Kit are crumbling, she moves to live back to her parents and gets a tedious job in the office. Once a girl receives a mysterious invitation. A man who calls himself a seller says he can get for her what she always dreamed of - a unicorn. But he does not need money. To get what she wants, the girl must prove that she deserves it.

Production
In August 2012, it was announced that Miguel Arteta would direct the film based on the script of Samantha McIntyre, in which Rebel Wilson will play the main role. Mike White and David Bernad were supposed to be producers with the support of their company “Rip Cord Productions” [1] . In August 2016, it was announced that Bree Larson would be the director, producer, and also the lead singer. The producers were announced Bernad, Ruben Fleisher , Paris Casidocostas-Latsis, Lynette Howell Taylor and Terry Douglas [2] [3] . In November 2016, Samuel L. Jackson , Joan Cusack and Bradley Whitford , Karan Sonya and Mamudu Ati joined the film production [4] [5] [6] . In December of that year, Mary Holland joined the cast [7] .
Filming process
Filming began in November 2016 in Los Angeles and ended on December 9, 2016 [5] .
Release
The world premiere of the film took place as part of the Toronto International Film Festival on September 11, 2017 [8] . On January 9, 2019, it was announced that Netflix had acquired the rights to distribute the film [9] .
Acceptance
The film received mixed reviews from critics. On the Internet aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, he has a rating of 64% based on 14 reviews with an average score of 6.2 / 10 [10] .
