Biography

Born in s. Elective , Vadinsky district , Penza region . In 1949 he moved with his parents in Penza.

Since 1958 - a student at the Faculty of Experimental Physics of the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (MEPI) .

From 1964 to 1996 he worked in Arzamas-16 , from 1970 he was a senior researcher, from February 1976 he was the head of the laboratory, from 1986 he was the head of the department of radiation physics, and from February 1987 he was simultaneously the deputy head of the department for radiation research and testing, from June 1993 head of the department 04 [4] , from December of the same year - deputy supervisor of RFNC-VNIIEF for experimental, applied and basic research.

In October 1975, after graduating from the correspondence postgraduate program of the MEPI, he defended his thesis.

He took part in the development of new linear pulse accelerators LIU [5] (LIU-10, LIU-30, LIU-10-GIR), as well as Pulsar [6] .

Studies carried out by him at irradiation facilities at VNIIEF have yielded important results for the rocket men [7] .

In 1982, the Lenin Prize was awarded for the scientific substantiation and practical implementation of new powerful linear high-current particle accelerators [8] .

He died on May 14, 1996. He was buried in Penza [9] at the Eastern Cemetery.

Scientific Activities

He is the author (co-author) of more than 300 papers, including 60 inventions, 31 presentations at conferences and scientific councils [10] .
