The XXVIII Russian Volleyball Championship among 14 teams of the men's Super League was held from October 13, 2018 to May 18, 2019. The championship title was won for the first time in history by the Kemerovo Kuzbass .

Preliminary Stage
Matches of the preliminary stage were held from October 13, 2018 to March 23, 2019. The main criterion for the distribution of places in the standings was the number of victories (this rule applies to other leagues of the Russian championship). Eight teams made it to the playoffs of the championship. Teams that took 9-14th places in the preliminary stage will take part in the play-out matches.
The winning team of the Premier League “A” last season Lokomotiv-Emerald refused to participate in the Super League due to financial problems. Her place was taken by the team from Nizhnevartovsk “ Ugra-Samotlor ”, which last year lost the transitional matches for registration in the top division.
