Biography

At an adult level, he began performing in 1960 in the Taganrog “Torpedo” in class “B” , spent two seasons in the team.

In 1962 he moved to the Rostov SKA . In the first three seasons he played only for the double. The main composition of the army team debuted on May 2, 1965 in a match against Minsk Dynamo [1] . On October 3, 1965, he scored his only goal at the highest level against the goal of Moscow Spartak [2] . In total, in the Rostov club he played in the major league in 1965-1966, 22 matches and scored one goal.

In 1967 he joined the debutant of the major league of Lugansk "Dawn" . He played his first match for the club on April 7, 1967 against Dynamo Moscow [3] . Having played nine matches in April-June 1967, he lost his place in the squad, but was on the team until 1968. Then he played for the clubs of the Luhansk region - “ Chemist ” (Severodonetsk) and “ Kommunarets ” ( Kommunarsk ).

In 1971-1972 he worked as a trainer-breeder "Dawn", then until 1976 - as a coach in the Lugansk sport boarding school. In 1977 he returned to Taganrog and became the head coach of Torpedo, but he worked only the first round. In the early 1980s, he worked as a coach in the Taganrog club, and in July 1983 he was appointed head coach and remained in this position until the end of his life.

He died suddenly on May 21, 1984 at the age of 42 years.

Game Style

A tall, powerful player who plays well with his head and is quite technical for his size. Tough, disciplined, unyielding defender.
