Sochi 1982 - a chess tournament dedicated to the memory of M. I. Chigorin .
The competition was organized by the Chess Federation of the RSFSR.
The tournament was held in December 1982.
The tournament was attended by 16 chess players: 10 Soviet (6 grandmasters, 2 international and 2 national masters) and 6 foreigners (2 grandmasters and 4 international masters).
Victory in intense tournament wrestling was won by ex-world champion M.N. Tal.
The rules of the international grandmaster and international master were set at the tournament. The silver medalist of the tournament P. Nikolic became the grandmaster. International master - S. I. Dvoiris.
