Biography
He received a traditional Jewish religious education, from the age of 13 he worked in a printing house . Member of the RSDLP (b) since 1917, a member of the Civil War. From 1926 he was a member of the Board of the Union , from 1929 the director of Beltrestpechat . He graduated from the Industrial Academy in 1932. In the mid-1930s, the director of the State Labor Committee, Glavpoligrafizdat, a member of the printing council for publishing encyclopedias . In 1939-1949 director of the publishing house " Der Emes ". During World War II, he was a member of the Jewish Anti-Fascist Committee ( JAC ), a member of the editorial boards of the Einikayt and Sovetish Gameland newspapers. In 1949, he was arrested in the " JAC case ", sentenced to imprisonment in the ITL . Released around 1955 . Son - a writer, journalist Varlen Strongin .
