Leyla Aliyeva ( azerb. Leyla Əliyeva ; born 1986 , Baku , Azerbaijan SSR , USSR ) is an Azerbaijani TV journalist . In 2012, along with Eldar Gasimov and Nargiz Birk-Petersen , she was the host of the Eurovision 2012 song contest.

Career
Leyla Aliyeva graduated from the Azerbaijan State Music Academy with a degree in conductor . In 2004 she was invited as a journalist to the Public Television of Azerbaijan . In 2007, she began covering Eurovision news and soon became a member of the organizing committee of OTV. Aliyeva was the herald from Azerbaijan at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade [1] . She was the leading Azerbaijani national selections in 2011 and 2012 [2] .
Personal life
Married to the director of OTV. There is a daughter [2] .
