Geography
Located 233 km southeast of Barnaul . The village is connected with cities and regions of the region by automobile roads. The nearest train station, Biysk, is 110 km away.
History
It was founded in 1811. In the village of Staraya Barda in 1907, the Starobardinsky oil artel was created, uniting 350 people. On December 28, 1912, the power plant was launched by the efforts of the cooperators. She had a turbine of the English company "Francis" with a capacity of 95 horsepower. In the houses of cooperators, 700 electric lamps with a capacity of 10 to 50 candles were lit.
In 1960, by a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR, the village of Staraya Barda was renamed Krasnogorskoye [2] .

Culture
Objects of the social sphere: a polyclinic, a hospital, two comprehensive schools, a music school, a children's and youth sports school "Victoria", three kindergartens, two libraries, a regional House of Culture, a regional children's house of creativity, two Kindergartens, a cinema, a stadium.
In October 2009, on the 85th anniversary of the Krasnogorsk district, an 8-meter (wide) stele was erected in the center of the village in honor of Agey Antonov, the creator of the first hydroelectric power station in Siberia, which was built on the local Chapsha River. [9]
Economics
In the village there are a bakery, an oil and cheese factory, buckwheat processing enterprises, a public catering, a general store, a car enterprise, agrosnab, DRSU, a regional education center, forestry, utilities, SPK Krasnogorskiy, ZAO Gorny Nectar.
