The 6th edition of the Arctic Race of Norway - a multi-dayroad racing on the roads of northern Norway , located beyond the Arctic Circle . The race consisted of 4 stages and was held from August 16 to 19, 2018 as part of the UCI 2018 European Tour (category 2.HC ).
The winner of the race was the Russian cyclist Sergey Chernetsky from Astana Pro Team . [one]

The invitation to the race from the organizers was accepted by 4 teams of the world tour . 12 professional continental teams and 3 continental teams were also invited. Each team could consist of no more than 6 cyclists. 113 athletes came to the start of the competition. Last year's winner, the Belgian Dylan Tons did not participate in the race.
Four different T-shirts were played at the Norwegian Arctic Race 2018. The leader of the general classification , which was calculated by summing the time of each rider shown at each stage, was awarded a light blue T - shirt. In addition, this classification took into account temporary bonuses for the finish in the first three places at the stages: 10 seconds for the first place, 6 for the second and 4 for the third, as well as in the intermediate finishes: 3 seconds for the first place, 2 - for the second and 1 - for the third. The driver with the lowest total time became the winner of the general classification and the entire race.
The leader of the eyeglass classification wore a green T-shirt. The place in this classification was determined by the points accumulated by the rider for the finish in the top 10 at the stages and for the first three positions in the intermediate finishes.

The Red T-shirt was awarded to the leader of the mountain classification , which was calculated by the sum of points awarded to the rider for crossing the top of the category climbs among the first. Each climb in the race, depending on its complexity, was awarded a category: first or second. The higher the rise category, the more points it won.

The leader of the youth classification was awarded a white T-shirt. This classification was calculated as well as the general one, but only between riders younger than 25 years old.
There was also a team classification, in which the position of the teams was determined by the total time shown by the three best racers of each team at each stage. The team with the lowest total time after the last stage became the winner of the classification.
Additionally, after each stage, the prize was awarded to the most aggressive driver, who, according to the jury of the race, headed by the director of the race, was the most attacking and active, showed perseverance and skill. At the next stage, it was marked with a red number .
