Content

Club career

A graduate of the club " Academy of Antsika ", in which he began his professional career. In 2010, he played for Zhapan Aktuel , from where he moved to the Paradu club in Algeria. On January 31, 2011 Karolyus signed a contract with the Algerian club VA Tlemcen on a rental basis [4] . On March 19, 2011 he made his debut for the club in the starting lineup of the club in the match of the Algerian championship against USM Annaba , scoring a goal in the 90th minute of the game [5] . On May 28, 2012, he signed a contract with the Algerian club USM Algeria , but in the debut season he missed 9 months due to a serious knee injury [6] . For USM Algeria, Carolus played a total of 132 games in which he scored 20 goals, winning 6 titles and is considered the most titled foreign player in club history. In 2017, after 5 years at the club, he left after the contract expired [7] . Fans complained about his departure, especially since they got used to him, and they considered him Algerian. However, they wished him success in the remainder of his career [8] .

Team Career

Madagascar player since 2009. In March 2011, Carolus was called up to the Olympic team of Madagascar for the qualifying match for the London 2012 Games against Algeria [9] . Andriamahitsinuru was included in the team of Madagascar for the African Cup of Nations 2019 [10] . In the first match against Guinea, he scored a goal in the 55th minute, and the teams drew with a score of 2: 2. In the third match against Nigeria, he scored the second goal and brought the national team of Madagascar to the 1/8 finals. In the 1/8 final match, his goal in the 77th minute of the match against DR Congo helped the team go ahead, but the match ended in a draw and his team managed to qualify for the quarterfinals only in the penalty shoot-out.

Personal life

Andriamahitsinuru converted to Islam in 2013, he also changed his name Karolyus to Islam, then he married an Algerian girl, a couple was born to a son. Andriamahicinuru also has Algerian citizenship [11] [12] .
