The following electoral cardinals participated in the Papal Conclave in 1492 . The list of electoral cardinals is given by geographic region and in alphabetical order.

Pope Innocent VIII passed away on July 25, 1492. Cardinal Rodrigo Borgia was elected on August 11, 1492 and received the name Alexander VI . At the time of the death of Pope Innocent VIII, there were twenty-seven living cardinals. Twenty-three cardinals participated in the Conclave, and four were absent.
