Arkady Ivanovich Zazubin (November 21, 1916, Moscow Region , RSFSR , USSR - June 14, 1983, Alma-Ata , Kazakh SSR , USSR ) - Soviet scientist, Doctor of Technical Sciences (1973), professor (1977), corresponding member of the Kazakh National Academy of Sciences SSR (1983), Honored Worker of Science of Kazakhstan (1976) [1] .

Biography
In 1942-1944, the director of the factory of the Maykainzoloto Trust in the Pavlodar region . In 1944-1949 he was the head of the technical control department of the Chorukh-Dayron tungsten mine administration in Tajikistan . In 1949-1983, a researcher, head of the laboratory of the Institute of Metallurgy and Enrichment of the Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan [1] .
In 1973, at the Kazakh Polytechnic Institute. V. I. Lenin defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic “Extraction of gallium and vanadium from aluminate solutions” [2] .
Scientific activity
The main scientific works in the field of metallurgy of non-ferrous, noble and rare metals. He led theoretical research on the complex extraction of valuable components from aluminum-containing and rare-metal ores. At Pavlodar and Volkhov (Russia) aluminum smelters, he developed and implemented highly efficient technological schemes for the extraction of rare metals from aluminate solutions of alumina production.
Laureate of the USSR State Prize (1978) [3] . He was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor [1] .
