Kangaroo hybrids are hybrids of animals of the kangaroo family (Macropodidae), including kangaroos and wallabies. A number of kangaroo hybrids were obtained as part of experiments, including:
| Male | Female | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Mountain kangaroo Macropus robustus | Big red kangaroo , M. rufus | Barren female 1 |
| Swamp Wallaby , Wallabia bicolor | The red-gray wallaby , M. rufogriseus | Barren male 2 |
| Fast wallaby , M. agilis | The red-gray wallaby, M. rufogriseus | Barren male 2 |
| Kangaroo Eugenia , M. eugenii | Black-haired wallaby M. dorsalis | Barren male 2 |
| Western Gray Kangaroo , M. fuliginosus | Giant kangaroo M. giganteus | Barren male and fertile female |
| Big red kangaroo , M. rufus 3 | Giant kangaroo M. giganteus | |
| Kangaroo Eugenia, M. eugenii | White chest Philander M. parma | |

1. It may have been so few prolific that they were considered sterile.
2. Although the males had testicles, they did not have sperm, and some had Y-chromosome abnormalities.
3. Used in vitro fertilization .
Some hybrids between closely related species were obtained simply by placing the male and female of different species in one aviary. In other cases, young animals of one species were transferred to the bag of a female of another, so that in the future they would perceive the representatives of another species as their relatives. In vitro fertilization has also been used [1] .
