H 2 O is the eleventh album of the American duo Hall & Oates , released in September 1982 under the label RCA . H 2 O reached No. 3 in the US charts and received double RIAA platinum certification for a circulation of more than 2 million copies [3] . The single " Maneater " from this album reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States.

History
The album debuted at No. 42 in the US Billboard 200 charts on October 30, 1982 as the best debut of that week [4] ; 11 weeks later he reached third place on the chart on the date of January 15, 1983; the album remained on the chart for 68 weeks [5] [6] . By December 1982, 1 million copies were sold and it received platinum certification on December 16, 1982, and on April 1, 1985 received double RIAA platinum certification for 2 million copies [3] .
