Maurits Bonstoppel ( Dutch: Maurits Boonstoppel ; December 9, 1920 , Amsterdam [1] - September 29, 2002 , Massleys [2] ) - a Dutch soccer player who played as a striker and defender , played for the Ajax Amsterdam.

Career
In 1938, Maurits Bonstoppel came to study at the laboratory of the in Amsterdam, where he soon became a laboratory assistant [3] . For seven years he worked at the Department of Chemistry, and in 1946 he became an administrative assistant [3] .
In addition to scientific activities, Maurits went in for sports and played for the Ajax athletics team [4] . At the end of 1945, he first played for the red-white football team [5] . He made his debut on December 23 in the match of the championship of the Netherlands against EDO [5] , playing as a striker. In the debut season, he scored 5 goals in 6 matches [6] . For the last time as part of Ajax, he entered the field on February 6, 1949 in a championship match with Haarlem [5] , playing in defense instead of Jan Potkharst [7] .
In 1951 he went to work in a scientific center in The Hague , where the founders of Shell Plastics Laboratorium Delft became its leaders [3] . He was responsible for the selection and acquisition of a variety of equipment for the processing and use of all types of polymers [3] . He is the author of several patented techniques and devices [8] .
Personal life
Maurits was born in December 1920 in Amsterdam [1] . Father - Adrianus Bonstoppel, was originally from Schonhoven , mother - Jiltje Velthoysen [1] . In addition to him, the family also had a youngest son named Daniel, born in December 1924 [1] .
Married at the age of twenty-eight years - 24-year-old Rinskyen van Lear became his chosen one. Their marriage was registered on June 16, 1949 [1] .
He died on September 29, 2002 in the city of Massluis at the age of 81. His wife died in October 2015 at the age of 90.
