Yang Xilan ( Chinese р 杨锡兰 , pinyin : Yáng Xílán ; born March 16, 1961 , Tianjin , China ) is a Chinese volleyball player , a binder. Champion of the 1984 Summer Olympics , two - time world champion .

Biography

In 1976, Yang Silan was admitted to the Bayi army volleyball team, for which she played throughout her sports career, winning the title of Champion of China in 1982 and 1989. In 1981, she played for the youth national team of China, and since 1982 she has already played for the national team of the country . As part of the Chinese team, Yang Silan won 7 gold awards at official international competitions, including the 1984 Olympics , two world championships (she was the team captain at the 1986 world championship in Czechoslovakia ), and the 1985 World Cup . At the 1986 World Cup and the 1988 Olympic Volleyball Tournament, she was recognized as the best binder. In 1985, she took part in two FIVB Gala matches in which the Chinese team played against the World Stars team.
