Konik ( Ukrainian Konik ) - the right tributary of the Dnieper , flowing through the Goloseevsky district ( Kiev City Council , Ukraine ); one of the many branches of the Dnieper, formed as a result of channel processes: channel multi-arm . On the map, M-36-50 (1937) is referred to as Connick .

Geography
Length - 8 [1] km.
The channel is very winding with sharp turns (meandering), m wide and m deep. The river valley merges with the Dnieper valley. Throughout its length, it is connected by permanent and temporary streams with many lakes (which are located east of the Konik channel).
The river originates branching off from the main channel of the Dnieper east of the historical Korchevatoye area. The water regime is regulated by a dam (with a road) at the source of the river. The river flows south and southeast. The Konik River forms the island of Zhukov . It falls into the other arm of the Dnieper Old Man east of the historical area Chapaevka . In the middle reaches the Vita River flows.
Since 1937 [2] and after the filling of the Kanevsky reservoir in 1974-1976, the riverbed did not undergo significant changes.
The floodplain is occupied by wetlands with meadows and shrubs, forests. In addition to the right bank of the upper course - industrial zone (Pirogovo).
