Biography
Born on January 5 ( January 18 ), 1900 in the village of Bor (now Shimsky District , Novgorod Region ). He studied singing at the 2nd Leningrad College (1922-1928) with A. Ya. Porubinsky . In the years 1927-1928 - artist of the choir of the Leningrad chapel . In 1928-1954, he was a soloist at the S.L. In 1941-1945 he was the organizer of the besieged musical theater, headed the opera company. He had a light, moving voice of a soft timbre, stage talent. In 1953-1963 he taught at the LGK named after N. A. Rimsky Korsakov . Member of the CPSU (b) since 1949 .
He died on February 22, 1963 in Leningrad .
