Format
The main objective of the show is the search and selection of universal vocalists who sing not only in different genres, but also in languages other than their own.
An additional feature of the format is that all project participants are selected not according to external, but according to vocal data. Moreover, due to the lack of genre criteria, participants can demonstrate to the audience and the jury their vocal abilities in the performance of jazz or rock, as well as folk songs or classical vocals.
The participants of the show are mainly already-held musicians who have completed a certain school of skill, and therefore the project’s mentors do not set the contestants to change, “break” their approach to the repertoire and style, but rather try to choose the artists closest to themselves in terms of style, to enable them the most effective creative realization in front of a television audience, thus becoming even more popular.
Rules
By the decision of the producers of the Voice project, casting in the show is open to any citizen of Russia aged 60 and over. To participate, it is enough to submit an application in the form of a record of your singing.
The central figures of the show are four mentors who recruit participants to their teams. The task of recognized stage masters is to recruit their own team of performers and subsequently select a candidate for victory in the final of the TV show in several stages.
The show includes the following steps:
- Blind auditions
- All participants who completed the casting perform one song each. During the performance, the jury of mentors sits in front of the stage in deep chairs with their backs to the performer, thus hearing his voice but not seeing him. Any of the mentors during the execution can press the selection button, which means that this mentor is ready to accept this participant in his team - then his chair turns around facing the participant. If the selection button was pressed by two or more mentors, the participant has the right to choose any of them. If none of the mentors pressed the selection button during the performance of the number, the participant leaves the show. The size of the team of each of the mentors is limited to 4 participants; Having gained the necessary number of performers, he loses the right to choose.
- Knockouts
- Each Mentor has 4 members in a team. Each participant will perform a song solo. Based on the performance results, the mentor selects two vocalists who will remain in the project. By the end of the stage, 2 participants remain in the team of each of the Mentors, who become finalists.
- The final
- In the show finale, the finalists of each Mentor are already competing directly with each other. Viewers determine the winner by direct telephone and SMS voting. In addition, in the final, the name of the best Mentor of the season will be announced, for which the most votes have been cast.
