Evgeny Isaakovich Dostovalov (1882-1938) - lieutenant colonel of the General Staff, hero of the First World War. Member of the White Movement in southern Russia, chief of staff of the 1st Army Corps , lieutenant general.

Biography

Orthodox. The son of a state councilor. A native of the Semipalatinsk region .

He graduated from the Siberian Cadet Corps (1900) and the Konstantinovsky Artillery School (1902), from where he was released as second lieutenant to the 26th Artillery Brigade .

With the outbreak of the Russo-Japanese War, he was transferred to the 5th East Siberian Rifle Artillery Division. For military distinctions he was awarded the Order of St. Anne of the 3rd degree with swords and a bow. It was made on assignments on August 21, 1905 [1] . On September 10, 1905 he was transferred to the 3rd Artillery Brigade [2] , and on December 30, 1907, he was transferred to the Siberian Reserve Mountain Artillery Division [3] . He was promoted to headquarters captain on September 1, 1909 [4] .

On August 13, 1910 he was transferred to the 52nd artillery brigade [5] . In 1912 he graduated from the Nikolaev Military Academy in the 1st category. May 20, 1912 transferred to the 2nd Turkestan Rifle Artillery Division [6] . In 1913 he was assigned to the 1st Turkestan Rifle Regiment for one year to command the company [7] .

With the outbreak of World War I , on November 16, 1914, he was promoted to captain with the transfer to the General Staff and appointment as the senior adjutant of the headquarters of the 1st Turkestan Rifle Brigade. Granted by St. George's Arms

On November 1, 1915, he was appointed correcting the position of assistant to the senior adjutant of the Quartermaster General Staff of the 1st Army . On June 12, 1916, he was appointed senior adjutant on the front line of the headquarters of the Separate Naval Brigade , and on August 15 of the same year he was promoted to lieutenant colonel with the appointment of and. In December 1917, Colonel Dostovalov was an assistant chief of staff of the Crimean troops. On November 20, 1918 he was appointed head of the Salsky detachment of the Don Army . In February 1919 - commander of the 1st Infantry Brigade of the Astrakhan Army . On June 15, 1919 - a teacher of military sciences of the Kuban Cossack Military School [9] . By August 15, 1919, he was appointed chief of staff of the 1st Army Corps [10] , and from August 27 - at the disposal of the quartermaster general of the headquarters of the Supreme Commander of the All - Union Federal League of Justice . In the fall of 1919 - Chief Quartermaster of the Volunteer Corps, in March 1920 - Chief of Staff of the same corps. In the Russian army - the chief of staff of the 1st army corps. He was promoted to lieutenant general . On December 18, 1920 - in command of the 1st Army Corps in Gallipoli .

By 1922, he moved to shift-shift positions , collaborated in the newspaper "The Eve " and the journal "War and Peace" [11] . Wrote an article “Voluntary tactics overshadowed the art of war” about the causes of the defeat of the white armies [12] . In 1922 he returned to Soviet Russia, a note about his arrival was posted in the Krasnoye Black Sea newspaper on February 1, 1923 [13] . He wrote essays on the Civil War (1924) [14] . The further fate is unknown. Shot in 1938.
